A. The most economical protection available is Released Value, since it is offered at no additional charge. However, the protection is minimal. Under this option, the mover assumes liability for no more than 60 cents per pound per article.

There is no additional charge for Released Value. However, you must sign a specific statement on the bill of lading or contract agreeing to it. But remember, it compensates you according to the weight of the item, not its actual value. And, if you do not select Released Value, your shipment will automatically be transported at the Full Value Protection level of liability and you will be assessed the applicable charge.

Mashav Relocation has been issued a certificate of authority by the federal government to move household goods among any of the 48 states.  As a moving company, Mashav Relocation has a certificate of authority with the US Department of Transportation (DOT).

Crating means either building a custom wooden crate for a heavy or especially fragile item, or shaping a custom cardboard box (and bubble wrap) when a fragile item of yours does not fit into a standard moving box . To better protect your items, we typically crate heavy, large or fragile items (like large standing mirrors, glass top tables and oversized TV’s).

A. To keep your smaller items as safe and secure as possible during the move, they will need to be boxed. This also includes such things as TV’s, paintings, lamps and even mattresses. To protect your furniture, Mashav Relocation experts use special plastic covers in combination with a protective layer of thick blankets.

A. Mashav Relocation requires a $100 deposit in order to reserve your moving date and crew. We do this to ensure that you have the correct equipment and necessary staff available on the day of the move and to protect ourselves against customers who schedule more than one mover and then use whichever company shows up first. Believe it or not, that does happen. Your $100 deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the move. Please note that your deposit is refundable if you cancel your reservation 48hr prior to your pickup date.
